As per my last blog post, solar or lunar eclipse are related to the north/south node. This time we have a close conjunction of the nodes with both the Sun and the Moon, that's why we have a full eclipse. This eclipse is happening at 4 degree of Aquarius, if you are in Hong Kong like me, it is happening on 28 July 2018, at 4 something am. From astronomy viewpoint, as the Moon is very close to Earth, this eclipse will be longer than usual. (Usually it takes 1 hour and 6 minutes but this time it will take 1 hour and 43 minutes.) Another interesting thing is Mars also conjunct the Moon, and Mars is also very close to Earth these days.
This eclipse will be the strongest among all 3 eclipses this year. The obvious thing is of course, the conjunction of Sorth Node and Mars, where Moon is in between. North Node is our past, things/ people that we are familiar with, and some astrologers even said it represents our past lives. Full Moon happening at South Node is urging us to finish things related to the past. Mars is related to argument and war, it is our motivation, grumpiness and desire in the natal chart. As it is in retrograde, we are reminded to review things from the past. Maybe the Universe is asking us to review, re-evaluate whether we were too grumpy? Too impulsive? Or the other way round, we were so mellow and gentle all the time that we lack the motivation to make things work? As it is conjunction of Full Moon, we are reminded to leave this type of character or try to strike a balance in between, or even use different types of attitude when different situation occurred.
Another thing that need us to pay attention to is that the Full Moon is squaring Uranus. Uranus is currently in Taurus, so it is not comfortable at all; together with the effect from Mars, I would forecasts there will be a lot of accidents or fights in the street. We may feel irritated and edgy, leading to fights or arguments with our friends/ family too.
Personally I think this is a purger of our negative feelings, a time for releasing frustration or stress, just that the way it takes place is a bit blunt. On the other hand, please be reminded that the Universe will always support us, and this time there comes Saturn and Uranus in trine position, which is very good aspect. Saturn is self-discipline, down-to-earth, learning; as it is in retrograde, it keeps us practicing non-stop on certain area of life, so we master this skills to overcome certain difficulties. Uranus is sudden change or revolution, it is a like an 'aha' moment of awakening. These 2 planets in good aspect may give us a sudden urge of change, which we not only manifest but actually carrying it out. Actually, not only Saturn and Uranus are in good aspects, Saturn is also communicating with the Sun and the Moon in a positive way, so we can see that Saturn is playing an important role in this Full Moon Eclipse, so please make good use of it!
The final thing to pay attention to is: there are many planets in retrograde during this eclipse season, including Mercury, Mars, Saturn, Neptune and Pluto. When a planet is retrograde, its power is stress, urging us to revise, re-do or re-consider things. That's why we must go inside, check internally or even meditate, find out where we should improve to be a better self, just be prepared the process will be bumpy. Also, as the above energy effect is on the whole humanity, so we all feel the same - irritated while having our inside cleansed; so please be loving and considerate, after all this is a full moon in Leo (Individual) and Aquarius (Humanity)!
